Only October was written during an early fall 2020 snowy season as the COVID-19 pandemic was escalating. A song about laughter and joy existing alongside grief and sorrow, Only October reflects the ambiguous loss of pandemic isolation, exhaustion from too much time spent plugged in, and the dissonance of overlapping experiences of mental distress and privilege.

Violist Sam Bergman adds the final touch to this heavy-hearted track.
